If you are looking for a bargain on a tremendous fishing trip, look no further.

To benefit the Bristol Bay campaign, a nice variety of lodges in Alaska, Mexico, and Chile are offering 2-for-1 pricing on trips to generate some donations to the Sportsman’s Alliance for Alaska. Each lodge is offering one trip at this special rate, and there are a pretty decent selection of available dates.

with Proceeds to Benefit Campaign to Save Bristol Bay

The lodge operators on the list below have each generously offered “2-for-1” pricing on one trip this season to help raise some money for the Sportsman’s Alliance for Alaska (SAA).

* Each operator is offering one trip at this special rate, and trips will be on a “space available” basis. Trips are “first come, first served.” Or more accurately, “first donation paid, first served.”

How the program works:

1. Angler selects fishing trip he/she is interested in.
2. Based on value of trip (below) angler contacts SAA (Scott@SportsmansAlliance4AK.org or 605-351-1646) to arrange donation. Payment by check will be preferred method to save on credit card fees.
3. SAA notifies lodge or outfitter that donation has been received.
4. Angler makes reservation directly with lodge or outfitter.
5. Angler pays lodge or outfitter directly on a 2-for-1 pricing basis.

$7,501 and higher	$2,000

Here’s a Win-Win-Win Example:

Angler selects trip valued at $6,000 per person. Angler makes $1,500 donation to SAA. Angler reserves dates with lodge or outfitter and pays $6,000 to lodge or outfitter for a 2-person trip. Angler pays total of $7,500 for a trip valued at $12,000…a savings of $4,500 (or 37%)!

NOTES:

1. Please check Web site of individual lodges to determine what is/isn’t included in price of trip.
2. Donation to SAA will result in a benefit to donor (value of the discounted 2-for-1 trip), so it likely will not be tax-deductible. Check with your tax professional for advice.
3. Available dates are current as of April 30, 2010, but are subject to change. SAA will confirm your dates at lodge of your choice prior to donation.
