Jerry Shults, owner of
Rapids Camp Lodge
Longtime SAA friend and supporter Jerry Shults of Rapids Camp Lodge (800-624-6843) has generously offered to partner with Sportsman’s Alliance for Alaska on a fundraising challenge. Rapids Camp Lodge will match 50% of all funds raised by SAA for work on the Bristol Bay campaign up to a maximum donation by Rapids Camp Lodge of $5,000.
Now your $50 donation will actually amount to $75…$100 will turn into $150…and so on.
SAA has set a short-term goal to raise $10,000 from supporters in order to maximize the $5,000 challenge donation offered by Rapids Camp Lodge.
The timing of Rapids Camp Lodge’s generous offer could hardly be better. As we move into the summer months, the Bristol Bay campaign is ramping up its efforts. The United States Environmental Protection Agency has undertaken a science assessment of the values of the Bristol Bay region (ecological, cultural, economic, etc.). SAA will be working with anglers and hunters, sporting conservation groups, lodges, guides, outfitters, members of the outdoor media, and companies in the sporting products industry to ensure the federal government knows that protection for Bristol Bay is an important issue for sportsmen and women.
Please help make this work possible. Your donation today is needed and appreciated. And, if you give today you will leverage the challenge money from Rapids Camp Lodge, making the donation to SAA even bigger.
